This test is for people who have learned some French before and would like to know which level to enrol on next.

It takes between 20 and 35 minutes, and measures listening, reading and grammar knowledge – but not speaking or writing.

For the most accurate result, you should do the test without looking up the answers in a book or the internet. You will see a statement of your result when you have answered all the questions.

To complete the evaluation, contact your nearest French language centre to make an appointment with one of their teachers, who will test your spoken French and recommend the local course(s) that would suit you best.
